"Personal Health Budgets are yet another example of the damaging effects that market driven medicine are having on our NHS. Encouraging patients to behave as "consumers" to shop around for care packages is fraught with potential problems, which the current headlines have highlighted.  We need to provide for the clinical needs of patients, which is best achieved by professional clinical teams working together with patients to decide the most effective care plans."
