We mourn a much- loved and much- respected NHS activist
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the untimely death of Sean Ellis. He was a very active and greatly respected member of our Party and acted as election agent for Dr Louise Irvine when she stood against Jeremy Hunt in South West Surrey in 2015 and 2017. He contributed greatly albeit quietly to the development of the National Health Action Party.
Dr Louise Irvine commented on twitter: “It’s so sad. Sean was a truly lovely wonderful man. He was my election agent when I stood against Jeremy Hunt in 2015 and 2017. He was clever, funny, serious, committed, supportive, thoughtful, talented. My heart goes out to his wife and two sons. I’ll miss him so much.”
Fighting for a truly public NHS was however only one of Sean’s many achievements. He also played a prominent role in the Skeptics’ Society and as a software developer.
He passed away after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife Tamasin and his teenage sons James and Thomas.
